Verses is a place to write song lyrics. What you write is yours: it is not published, not sold and not used to train anything.
It is offered as is, with no guarantee of availability. It is young software on a small server: keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
An account can create up to two hundred songs. The limit is there so nobody fills up the disk of whoever pays for the server, not to be noticed.
You can stop using it whenever you want. Deleting a song deletes it for everyone, and there is no bin.
You can close your account from “Your account”, without asking anyone, and it takes with it the songs you created — including the ones you were writing with other people, who lose them too. From that same page you can download all your lyrics first.
Who is behind this
While the cooperative that will publish Verses is being set up, the site is run by an individual, who is the one answerable for your data. The full identifying details —name, tax ID, address, registration and a contact address— will be published here as soon as that entity exists. In the meantime, whatever you need to do with your data you can do yourself from “Your account”: download it and delete it.
